Product development from the concept phase through to production readiness
Our engineering services in product development start with concept development in close cooperation with our clients and carry through to support during production.
Our engineering department offers virtual product design using state-of-the-art 3D-CAD tools. Using these tools, products can be developed from scratch and drawings can be prepared for production.
The structural evaluation of the products is made using Finite Element Methods using linear and nonlinear analysis types. Analytic calculations support the CAE application where applicable. Our experience covers static as well as complex dynamic analysis (e.g. crash calculations). Topology optimizations are becoming more and more important in structural calculations due to the application of new manufacturing methods. With our experience and tools, we are also able cover this topic.
In addition to design and structural analysis, we've added fluid dynamic analysis and flow simulation to our simulation portfolio. With state-of-the-art hardware and software, we're able to evaluate complex flow simulations and large-scale intricate nonlinear FE analyses.
Depending on requirements, besides simulations and calculations, product development can involve extensive testing. To that end, our experience covers static and dynamic structural tests as well as certification tests (material tests or flight tests), in conjunction with our partner institutions.
Nowadays, the preparation of verification documentation for product accountability is important in every industry. Our experience with certification documentation in the aviation industry has greatly helped us in recent years in many other industries and projects. The familiarization and application of new and updated regulations is a matter of course for AeroFEM.
